The sand is incredibly soft and the atmosphere extremely inviting. The waves are perfect for body surfing, while the water remains calm and shallow enough for swimming. Despite its relatively small size, Galveston Beach offers plenty of activities and amenities to keep you entertained throughout the day.

The lifeguard stands are staffed with friendly personnel who can help you make the most of your day at the beach. From providing recommendations on which spots have been known to produce some of the best catches to helping out with finding an appropriate spot in case you want to set up camp deeper down, they will always be there to help.

Another highlight of Galveston Beach is that it is extremely well-maintained by a dedicated team of city workers. They make sure that the sand is clean and clear of seaweed and other debris, as well as making sure all safety rules are followed throughout the premises.

When I arrive at Stewart Beach, the sights and smells of the ocean immediately hit me. From the crystal blue waters to the bright white sand to the towering palm trees, everything just feels right here. It's no wonder why this beach is one of the most popular in Galveston!

The amenities here are great too - there are several picnic areas and plenty of restrooms; even a shower area for those who want to take a dip in the ocean! The staff is friendly and helpful too, always accommodating my requests.

What sets this beach apart from others is its location. It's located in Seawall Boulevard and has stunning views of both Beachfront Park and Downtown Galveston. Even on a sunny day, there's enough open space so you don't have to worry about feeling cramped or overcrowded.

The beach is clean and the sand is soft and silky to walk on. I've always felt safe at Terramar Beach since it is well-monitored by lifeguards, who do a great job keeping everyone safe.

Sunny Beach

The picturesque white sands and turquoise blue waters showed me why this beach is so beloved by many looking for a place to relax. The atmosphere was peaceful, with seagulls perched atop palm trees in the distance. With plenty of shade and the calm waves, I felt like I could have stayed there forever! The beach provided plenty of space for swimming, biking and kite flying.

But what I found immensely enjoyable about Sunny Beach was its amenities. There were plenty of restaurants nearby offering delicious dishes, as well as stores where you can purchase souvenirs or swimwear. There's even a playground tucked away in one area for those visiting with children.

One thing that really made my visit to Sunny Beach memorable was the people who worked there. Everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating, providing helpful hints on how to make sure I had a great time at the beach.

Overall, if you're looking for the best beach near Galveston then look no further than Sunny Beach - it truly lives up to its reputation!

East Beach

East Beach

The sand was incredibly soft and inviting, perfect for digging my toes in. The area was clean and maintained with plenty of amenities like showers, restrooms, and picnic spots.

The boardwalk was great with cool shops and eateries nearby- definitely worth taking a stroll. The waves were gentle enough to enjoy a refreshing dip in the water. Plus, there's plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas available for rent so you don't have to worry about bringing your own if you want a lazy day at the beach.

I've been to many beaches all over the world but I must say East Beach is the best beach in Galveston! Whether you're looking for an active afternoon or a lazy day in the sun, this is definitely the spot to be!

San Luis Beach

San Luis Beach

The beach itself is stunning, surrounded by stunning dunes and boasting pristine white sand that stretches over two miles. It's so vast you could easily get lost in it!

The water here is warm and inviting, with plenty of room to spread out or even go fishing or swimming if you choose. And because there are no high-rises nearby, it always feels like you have the whole beach to yourself. It truly is the perfect spot to relax and unwind.

The facilities here are also top notch. There are several showers and restrooms located conveniently throughout the area for easy access. There's also a small snack bar onsite, as well as plenty of outdoor seating for those wanting to take in some sun while eating lunch or dinner.

Overall, San Luis Beach is definitely one of my favorite beaches in Galveston. It has all the amenities you would expect from a beach but still feels secluded and peaceful - making it the perfect place for a day at the beach! The best part? It's free!

The beach is truly beautiful, with its white sand and blue-green waters. It's definitely one of the cleanest beaches in Galveston with plenty of amenities, such as a volleyball court and picnic areas. There's also a beach rental area with chairs and umbrellas if you need them.

I especially enjoy that East Beach has free parking, so it makes it easy to get there anytime. Not only that, but there are plenty of bathrooms and showers available to wash away the sand after your visit.

And let's not forget about the food! The surrounding area is full of restaurants, bars, and cafes where you can grab a bite to eat or a drink without having to leave the beach.

In conclusion, East Beach (R.A Apffel) is by far the best beach in Galveston - perfect for anyone looking for a great day out in the sun!
