I was drawn in by the traditional Japanese atmosphere, immediately making me feel as if I had stepped into a sushi bar in Japan. The servers were knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive - always checking in to ensure our needs were met.

The best part of Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is without a doubt its fresh sushi. From the salmon to the yellowtail, each piece was deliciously cut fresh from the block and artfully presented on platters that circled around an interactive conveyor belt. The makis and hand rolls also had great flavor combinations!

The prices are incredibly reasonable too - even better when you get happy hour specials!

The sushi at Ume is excellent. From high quality ingredients to careful presentation, every aspect of the meal is given the same attention to detail and passion that I’ve come to expect from true sushi masters. The menu features a wide variety of rolls and nigiri options, but my personal favorite is their spicy salmon roll. It's spicy enough to bring out interesting flavors in the salmon, while still allowing its natural flavor to shine through.

But sushi isn't just about taste; ambiance plays a huge part as well. Ume has created a welcoming atmosphere with warm lighting and pleasant music that make it feel like visiting an old friend’s house for dinner.

I would highly recommend anyone looking for some of the best sushi in Houston to visit Ume!

The experience at Shun is truly unique. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance and decor transport you to Japan. The restaurant has a warm, cozy atmosphere that is inviting and comforting.

The menu is comprehensive and substantial with items ranging from nigiri to tempura, as well as interesting selections like the lobster roll sushi. I have to say that their sushi rolls are really something special! The ingredients are always fresh, the flavors are bold and intense, and presentation wise they look like works of art. Plus they are surprisingly affordable considering how high quality they are.
