Each dish has its own unique flavor to it and I'm constantly trying something new. The spices are strong and flavorful, which adds a special touch to each dish.

The Atmosphere: One of the things that stands out about ChòpnBlọk is the atmosphere. The decor is impeccably done with detailed African artifacts, wall hangings and furniture pieces dotting the restaurant. Even more impressive though is the friendly staff who are always ready to lend an ear, share stories and make sure customers have an enjoyable experience.

I was blown away by the rich and delicious flavors, combined with the very friendly staff. The menu was expansive and had something for everyone. From spicy to mild, there were plenty of options to try. Every dish I tried was cooked perfectly and had just the right amount of seasoning.

The service at Afrikiko was top-notch; the waiters were attentive, prompt and very knowledgeable about their dishes. They answered all my questions and provided great advice on what to order.

The atmosphere in Afrikiko felt comfortable and cozy; it's a perfect spot for date night or just to catch up with friends. When I visited I noticed that most of the diners were regulars who seemed to genuinely enjoy their experience in this restaurant.

The ambience of the restaurant is cozy and inviting, transporting you to a different continent with Africa-inspired artwork lining the walls.

The Food

It has incredible flavors and textures that truly capture the essence of African-cuisine and offers a diverse selection of dishes from western, eastern, North and South Africa.

Finger Licking offers a large selection of traditional african dishes that are all cooked to perfection. The fragrant, aromatic spices and flavors used in the dishes make for an explosion of flavor in every bite. The atmosphere is very welcoming and always alive with conversation and laughter.

The staff are incredibly helpful and willing to recommend dishes that may appeal to your personal tastes. They also go out of their way to make sure your meal is everything you expect it to be.

The portions are more than sufficient and definitely enough for two people, if not more! I highly recommend the jollof rice as it tastes even better than the authentic recipe I tasted in West Africa.

Overall, Finger Licking provides some of the best african food in Houston while maintaining excellent service and a great atmosphere that can't be beat!

I recently tried out their amala, which is a traditional Nigerian dish made from a mashed yam. The flavor was rich and the texture was perfect. I'm definitely going back for more!

I also sampled their efo riro, which is a soup of blended spinach and assorted meats that they served with fufu on the side. The broth was so flavorful and the variety of ingredients made it truly unique.

The atmosphere in Amala Zone was also great – it felt like I was in an African restaurant in my own backyard! All the staff were really friendly and welcoming, too.

Overall, Amala Zone offers some of the best african food in Houston and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic culinary experience.
